Sand wetting system – really successful
A typical case where the wetting system should be used is where hot used sand must be transported on a conveyor belt underneath the shake-out feeder. For temperature reduction of the arising used-sand a water spraying system is used. ConviTec’s wetting system is controlled by an innovative control system. In this way our customers save ongoing maintenance costs and investment costs for conveyor belts as otherwise it would be necessary to use temperature-resistant conveyor belts instead of standard ones. Furthermore, the sand can cool down and regenerate during its further transport. The most important effect of applying such a wetting process are better results and an increase in efficiency of the sand recycling plant.
