ConviTec shake-out feeders CA are used in automatic molding plants with or without molding boxes to continuously separate cast and sand. They are suitable for a wide range of different moldings with differences in cast sensitivity. These shake-out feeders operate at high speeds from 1,000 to 1,500 rpm with a gravitational acceleration of 4.5-5.0 g in three-shift operation. Depending on the casting program the feeders are equipped with longitudinal or transversal slot grids or perforated metal sheets made of wear-resistant material. The drive is provided by directed exciters or exciter cells, which are connected to the drive motor by means of standard drive shafts. Directed exciters can be located above or underneath the grid surfaces. Directed exciters located above provide easy access. The exciter cells installed laterally in the side panel of the shake-out feeders facilitate maintenance. The side panels are designed and produced with rivets. Shake-out feeders are designed according to the mold body dimensions and the conveying capacity of the molding plant. In case of very different casting programs or frequent model changes VARIO shake-out feeders are used. The shake-out feeder models vary between 800 to 3,000 mm machine width and between 4,500 to 7,500 mm of length.

ConviTec VARIO shake-out feeders are especially suitable for shaking out sensitive casts and for very different casts in the production range of a foundry with small and big casts. The shake-out feeders work in a speed range of 1,000 to 1,500 revolutions per minute or at a frequency of 16 to 25 Hertz and with a gravitational acceleration of 3 to 5 g. Depending on your casting program the feeders are equipped with longitudinal or transversal slot grids as well as special perforated metal sheets made of wear-resistant material. A typical application is given if the cast molds require different shake-out behavior and the parameters need to be adjusted while the production is running. The shake-out behavior can be preselected individually and/or model-specific by the molding unit via contacts and/or via Ethernet interface or by the computer of the VARIO shake-out feeder. The drive motors of the VARIO shake-out feeder are continuously electrically synchronized. If the phase position is changed, it is possible to adjust the requested impact angle and thus the conveyor speed and if the speed is changed, the intensity of the swing can be adjusted to the requirements of your casts. This completely minimizes cast damages at high cast purity.

The control also makes it possible to run different settings of the shake-out feeder during a molding system cycle. It allows allocation of different parameters to the respective cast.
